Some vehicles, for example Peugeot & Citroen also use the original head-unit to access the on-board computer. These CAN-Bus interfaces also incorporate this, allowing the user to access this from the stalk controls instead. Further to this some BMW, Citroen & Peugeot models also utilise the OE head-unit to create the alert for the reverseing sensors. An additional interface can be used to allow these to work with an aftermarket head-unit, in conjunction with the CAN-Bus stalk control interfaces.
