When developing Damplifier, Second Skin formulated the butyl adhesive layer to the specific viscosity and weight that would yield the best sound deadening results for road, engine and exhaust noise. The foil heat shield is nearly 3 times thicker than their online competitors and will hold up to 300% more heat at bay.
The end result is a lightweight, moderately thin vibration mat that is not only easy to apply but will out perform asphalt mats nearly twice as thick and 3 times as heavy.
Because Damplifier™ is not temperature dependant it remains flexible and sticky at any temperature and will provide permanent adhesion to all materials regardless of climate.

The proprietary butyl is non-toxic, has no odor and has the highest heat rating in the industry; over 500 degrees.
