Silent Coat MultiLayer Bulk Pack

This latest generation 3mm thick vibration dampening material is based on a bitumen and butyl mastic composite.

MultiLayer Vibration and resonance damping material is based on the same butyl mastic as Silent Coat deadening. However Multilayer features a reinforced but soft composite-bitumen layer that increases overall mass and stiffness to kill resonant frequencies in sheet metal. Silent Coat Multilayer is designed to look and feel like original car manufacturer material but the mastic layer provides much better resonance deadening and gluing properties.

The bitumen and mastic base materials when combined into layers provide a series of advantages. The high mass and damping factor combats vibrations in the metal panels, while the flexibility increases convenience of installation. The sealed properties of the mastic layer also prevents water ingress and protects the car bodywork from corrosion.
