The TS-WH500A is an extremely thin, yet powerful subwoofer system for your car. Its built-in MOSFET amplifier boosts no less than 150 Watts through the aluminium cone woofer. And thanks to the unique Horizontal Vertical Transforming technology, which produces vertical vibrations through a horizontal driving force, this sub produces authentic, clear and wide-range bass sound for any kind of music.

What is HVT?
HVT stands for Horizontal Vertical Transforming technology which transforms horizontal movement into vertical movement of a woofer diaphragm to produce true, powerful and wide-range bass.

The TS-WH500A amplified subwoofer system is a truly groundbreaking approach in loudspeaker design. HVT technology uses a unique linkage mechanism, which allows the magnet and voice coil of the dual motor structure to be positioned horizontally to the left and the right side of vertically moving dual speaker diaphragms. Combined, the two diaphragms have an effective surface area equal to a conventional 8" subwoofer and fire in a bipolar arrangement, increasing output while also canceling destructive vibrations within the enclosure. The result of this innovative technology is a subwoofer system with significantly reduced physical depth, while maintaining greater excursion and linearity for superior bass reproduction, natural sound quality and higher output.

The result of this innovative technology is a uniquely compact speaker with the most compact enclosure in the industry that combines woofer surface area equal to most other compact active subwoofer systems with greater maximum excursion for superior performance and sound quality. Clear Sound, Less Noise
Compared to a traditional subwoofer, the TS-WH500A produces less vibration and less noise. The subwoofer offers wider low range frequency reproduction for well-balanced bass from various musical instruments. The voice coil and diaphragm work in symmetry to cancel unnecessary vibrations and reduce noise which instead would travel through the vehicle’s body.

Distortion: no more
Loudspeakers have to vibrate to turn audio signals into audible music. However, any unwanted vibrations of the loudspeakers will distort the musical signal. The Horizontal-Vertical Transforming topology that is used in the TS-WH500A results in far less unwanted vibrations, compared to traditional speaker designs. As a consequence, the sound is much cleaner and free of harmonic distortion.

The thinner, the better?
It’s possible to design shallow conventional loudspeakers, but this might lead to poor sound quality with limited dynamics and restricted bass. An HVT speaker however, has an exceptionally thin design, without any sacrifice on sound quality. The 150 watts TS-WH500A active subwoofer measures only 18 x 10 x 6 cm (LxWxH), but offers the same sound pressure level as a much bigger, conventional subwoofer. Thanks to the extremely thin design, the TS-WH500A can go where no other subwoofer has gone before. In many cars, the TS-WH500A can even be installed under the front seats.
